Vesterbro is a lively and different district with a large selection of restaurants, cafés and bars and a short distance to everything. With just 200 meters to both the metro and Central Station, and Strøget and Tivoli just around the corner, it couldn't be easier.
Originally a working-class neighborhood, today it is considered one of the hippest areas in Copenhagen, where many young people and families with children live and work, a neighborhood full of urban life and atmosphere.
At Andersen Hotel we offer a complimentary glass of wine every day between 17:00 & 18:00. The wine is served in our lobby lounge and gives you the opportunity to meet other guests and employees.

nick sJune 16, 2025Confirmed Good central hotel This is a nice hotel in a good location for accessing the main tourist sites - don't be put off by the strip club nearby (where entry is cheap with a loyalty card). Our room over-looked the court-yard, which was not quiet at the week-end, but was probably the more restful side of the building. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good, which is all that really matters. We had fantastic meals at The Rosemarino (on Ny Havn) and Bloom (near the hotel), and if you are interested in the city take a bicycle tour with Raphael on Holbergsgade. sunqueenBedhamptonJune 4, 2025Confirmed Excellent hotel with excellent staff Everything about our stay was perfect, the 'wonderful' mega double room was well appointed & spotless. The breakfast was constantly replenished & tasty - little details like chopped chives for the cooked food or chia seeds in the yogurt elevated it. All staff were friendly & polite & very helpful. Like others have said the location near the station is very convenient & everywhere felt very safe & clean. We had the Copenhagen card which worked well for us as we enjoy museums & historic buildings. we took the train to Hillerød to Fridricksborg Slot which was all included & very simple to do as the Danish trains & metro are very easy to navigate. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend both the Anderson & a visit to Copenhagen GoringBillJune 3, 2025Confirmed The Andersen Hotel is superb! My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Andersen Hotel for 4 nights from the 17th May. We agree completely with all the complimentary reviews already posted. Copenhagen is a lovely city and the Andersen is quite simply superb. The staff are truly excellent, the location of the hotel near the Central Station is so convenient and the facilities provided (breakfast, happy hour, honesty bar, unlimited free coffee etc.), are brilliant. To the hotel management and all the staff, thank you for maintaining such high customer service standards. You are the best. We cannot wait to return to Copenhagen next year and to stay at the Andersen Hotel again. RoddlezJune 1, 2025Confirmed Favorite hotel in Copenhagen This was my fourth visit to Copenhagen and my fourth stay at the Andersen. As always, it was a comfortable and fun time, especially with 'Wine Hour' every 5-6PM. It is close to transport and is easy to get to from the airport by train or Metro. Eateries abound as well as shops like 7-11. The staff are always helpful. It's in the Vesterbro area so you can expect an interesting atmosphere. It is safe with a 24 hour desk. Breakfast is included and their 'honesty bar' is great. I took the option of not having room service and received in return a 100 kr voucher to buy drinks over the road at the Absalon Hotel (their sister hotel). You get a voucher for each full day's stay. I would recommend the Andersen. Linda-Baxter26 May 2025Confirmed Amazing Andersen hotel Where to begin on this wonderful cozy stylish and welcoming hotel, the staff greet you warmly at reception and after telling you about the facilities, free coffee, hot chocolate and often pastries and fruit available all day, there’s also a wine hour between 5 & 6pm each night where you can enjoy a free glass of wine! After seeing your beautiful room if you choose the stairs rather than the elevator you will see thoughtfully placed Danish cookies on each windowsill. In your room there are Molton Brown products , tea and coffee making facilities and everything else you may need for the perfect stay. The breakfast each morning is delicious and plentiful and not forgetting the concept green where you may exchange house keeping for a bar voucher for the Absalon hotel opposite, half price bike rental or sweets. To say I love this hotel is an understatement and we can’t wait to come back. Thankyou <3 SteveKathBlaMay 21, 2025Confirmed Great hotel, centrally located Easy to find centrally based hotel. Check in was easy and staff very helpful throughout our stay. The room was a "Wonderful" room which was adequate for our needs. Buffet breakfast was good with plenty choice. The happy hour in the early evening was a nice touch and well attended. The hotel is ideally located to walk to most of the city center sites, the rail and metro stations are merely minutes away. Highly recommend. Dave G12 May 2025Confirmed Great location and hotel Great location, about a minutes walk from Copenhagen Central Station. Frinedly and helpful staff and a great breakfast with an all day coffee machine you canhelp yourself. Rooms are clean and have plug sockets next to the bed so you can charge your phone without having to trapeze across the room! stevepen2017May 1, 2025Confirmed A perfect place to stay in Copenhagen This hotel had been recommended to us by our travel agent Hays Travel in Belfast. The reviews we subsequently looked at seemed to echo the views of our agent, and certainly made us feel optimistic that we would enjoy our stay. Having been fortunate to travel to many places, and stayed in some excellent hotels, the Andersen Hotel is right up there with any of them. The information provided on their website is 100% accurate, and the ambiance can only be truly experienced when you enter the building. The staff are genuinely lovely, and nothing is any bother for them to assist in anyway they can. The "cool double" room was comfortable, clean and a joy to return to at the end of the day. The free glass of wine between 5-6 pm is a nice start to the evening, and the guests sit around and chill in the beautiful smart and contemporary lounge. The breakfast in the morning is different level, and would command a large price if purchased in the city. Absolutely 10/10 pilgrim51April 28, 2025Confirmed Great hotel We loved the Andersen hotel. It's very near the train station, Tivoli Gardens, metro and hop on and off bus stop plus some very nice restaurants and a 7eleven. The hotel has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and great breakfasts! Add in the free glass of wine hour between 5 and 6 - what more could you want? Ok the rooms are not huge but they are plenty big enough and comfortable. Totally recommend foodandtravel93February 10, 2025Confirmed Perfect place to stay We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Andersen Hotel. It was our first time visiting Copenhagen and we loved the city. The hotel is perfectly situated, just a few minutes away from the central station, from here you can explore Copenhagen at ease with most of the major sights, being just a couple of stops away. The hotel itself was spotless, breakfast was lovely and the wine hour was a real treat. Our room was a cool double which faced out onto the road. A few reviews mentioned this could be noisey and small but honestly, we really didn't hear a peep and thought the room size was perfect! It was equipped with everything you needed, including a fridge, safe and beautiful Molton Brown toiletries. It was also my birthday during our stay and the macarons made it extra special! Thank you to all of the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. When we visit Copenhagen again, we will definitely be back!
